Our History

OTR A.D.O.P.T. was founded in 2010 as a response to the problem of demolition in Cincinnati’s historic districts. We seek to preserve the unique architectural legacy of Cincinnati, in recognition of both its contribution to our shared sense of cultural heritage, and its value to our city as an economic development tool.

Through the A.D.O.P.T. model, we facilitate the transfer of vacant historic buildings to caring individuals and organizations who make a commitment to bringing them back to life.
